Web App: Post Like a Pirate

This item was filed under [ web apps ]

Post Like a Pirate is a web app that will translate your 140 character Twitter post into “pirate” lingo.

Features:

  • easy to use web interface
  • generate preview of translated post before posting
  • translates ordinary English into genuine “pirate”

The Good:

In a unique twist on Twitter, Post Like a Pirate asks “What ye be doing, Matey?”. This app serves no useful purpose, but is pure fun. What better way to cover important events like MacWorld than by posting like a pirate? You can also post to mySpace, generate pirate emails or simply use the app as a pirate translator.

The Not-so-Good:

We can’t actually vouch for the authenticity of the translations provided by Post Like a Pirate, but they sound “piratey” enough for us.
