Web App: SecretTweet

This item was filed under [ web apps ]

SecretTweet allows Twitter users to post and share secrets anonymously.

Features:

  • completely anonymous tweeting
  • assigned key replaces IP address of user
  • comments can be made by following @secrettweet

The Good:

If you want to get something off your chest anonymously, then SecretTweet will help you do it. It will also appeal to the voyeuristic out there, as an amazing parade of confessions flows past.

The Not-so-Good:

Nothing wrong functionally with SecretTweet, but it may not appeal to everyone. Some wonder about the veracity of the anonymous tweets. All tweets are moderated, apparently by the sole creator of SecretTweet, so the really ridiculous stuff probably won’t show up anyway.
