Plug-in: Twitter Line

This item was filed under [ plug-ins ]

Twitter Line is a Firefox plug-in that allows users to post tweets and display their timeline as a headline ticker.

Features:

  • displays avatar and Twitter status as headline ticker in Firefox
  • ability to post tweets and @replies, mark favorites
  • login with Twitter username and password

The Good:

Twitter Line is an easy to install Firefox plug-in. The UI is good looking (if not a little tiny). The ticker display shows avatar, tweet, client/service used to tweet and time stamp. You can also easily post a tweet or @reply from Twitter Line with a character countdown to keep you honest.

The Not-so-Good:

Twitter Line actually does a pretty good job. There have been several upgrades/updates along the way to address various issues, and the developer seems committed to keeping that up. The developer is Japanese, so we have a bit of Japanglish in the user’s guide, but we don’t mind: the fact that there is a detailed user’s guide for this plug-in is a huge bonus.
